Adobe Photoshop

1.1. What is Adobe Photoshop?

Adobe Photoshop image processing software is very powerful with all amenities. Result image with Adobe Photoshop if this many visits on various websites, brochures, newspapers, magazines and other media. To download Adobe Photoshop click here.


1.2. Know the Work Area


Run Adobe Photoshop then select File menu -> Open. Then select any open image. For example in the existing open zhaow.jpg images on CD Tutorial section Chapter I (see figure 1.1).

Often the layout tools (palette), Adobe Photoshop has changed modified by the previous user. To restore the location of this palette is to use the Windows menu -> Workspace -> Reset Palette Location.


Adobe Photoshop workspace can be seen in figure 1.1, namely:


A: Menu Bar, contains the main commands to open files, save, resize images, filters and others.


B: Option, contains a selection of tools you choose. For example the selected brush / brush, the size / diameter of the brush here.


C: Image, display images that are created or edited.


D: pallete Well, a quick way to access the Brushes palette, tool resets and Layer comps. It can also be used to place frequently used palettes.


E: the Toolbox contains tools for selecting and modifying images.


F: Palette, containing the small windows in which there are orders and options for document / image that is being done.


1.3. Chapter 1 Practice


1.3.1. Opening documents and make copies of documents


To open the image using the File menu -> Open, while to create duplicate images using the Image menu -> Duplicate.


1.3.2. Change the image size and canvas


If the size of the image is changed, then the image will be enlarged or shrunk, to do with the menu Image -> Image Size. If the canvas size is changed, then the fixed image size, there will be a white paper around a picture, do it with the menu Image -> Canvas Size.


1.3.3. Trying Toolbox


Try the tools on the toolbox, one by one will be discussed in subsequent chapters. Try right click on the tool that has a triangle at the bottom right to select a hidden tool.


1.3.4. Reflect and Rotate Images


Try the menu Image -> Rotate Canvas -> Flip Canvas Vertical, Image -> Rotate Canvas -> Flip Canvas Horizontal. To rotate the image, select menu Image -> Rotate Canvas -> select the desired angle.


1.3.5. Undo


Undo the last command is used to cancel, press Alt Ctrl Z, or use the history pallete.


1.3.6. Transferring images to other documents


To move an image use the Move Tool.


1.3.7. Save for web


Use the menu File -> Save for Web to generate an image with small size commonly used on the web site.
